How does it work ?
The DietSee enzymatic biosensor has been designed using technologies developed at Inovarion, a research center in life sciences.
DietSee biosensors provide a new approach to glycerol measurement by combining two technologies: bio-catalysis and electronics.
The electrochemical detection of glycerol offers many advantages: accuracy, speed, no sample processing.
No laboratory equipment is required.
A biosensor is an analytical device consisting of:
• a bioreceptor interacting or reacting with the analyte,
• connected to a transducer converting the biochemical signal into a quantifiable physical signal,
• transmitted to an electronic circuit converting it and displaying it on a user interface
As a result, DietSee glycerol detection systems are composed of 2 elements
An electronic reader for signal amplification, processing and display
Disposable electrochemical test strips for signal detection and transduction
